Winter and summer

In winter, the Arosa Lenzerheide holiday region reveals itself from its particularly impressive side. The largest interconnected ski area in the canton of Graubünden offers perfectly groomed slopes for every level, modern mountain lifts, and a wide range of options for skiers and snowboarders.
Even away from the slopes, winter atmosphere is guaranteed: winter hiking trails, snowshoe tours, and cozy mountain restaurants invite you to enjoy the snowy landscape in peace. Whether you are actively engaged in sports or simply relaxing – Arosa Lenzerheide combines nature experiences and winter enjoyment in an ideal way.
From Tschiertschen, you can reach Arosa Lenzerheide in around 30 to 40 minutes. The journey is convenient by car via Chur or by a combination of post bus and train via Chur and Arosa or Lenzerheide. This gets you quickly into the heart of the winter sports area so you can start your ski day without detours.

Particularly worth seeing is the car-free old town with its small boutiques, cafés, and historic buildings. Culturally, Chur also has a lot to offer – from museums to events throughout the year.
From Tschiertschen, you can easily reach Chur by car or post bus, making a city trip an ideal complement to a stay in the mountains.

The Bündner Herrschaft region and Maienfeld
The Bündner Herrschaft is the best-known wine region in Graubünden and is located just around 20 to 30 minutes from Tschiertschen. Nestled among picturesque vineyards and charming wine-growing villages such as Maienfeld, Fläsch, and Jenins, some of Switzerland’s finest wines are produced here.
The region invites visitors to enjoy memorable excursions — whether through a wine tasting, a walk through the vineyards, or a visit to the historic villages. Especially in autumn, the Bündner Herrschaft reveals its most impressive side, uniquely combining gastronomy, nature, and culture.

The Bündner Herrschaft is considered the most well-known wine region in eastern Switzerland and is located only about 20 to 30 minutes from Tschiertschen. Between the villages of Maienfeld, Fläsch, and Jenins, sunny vineyard slopes stretch across the landscape, known not only for their excellent wines but also for their idyllic scenery and the mild, almost Mediterranean climate of the Rhine Valley in Graubünden.
The region is ideal for a relaxed day trip during your stay. In addition to wine tastings with local winemakers, cozy restaurants, walking paths through the vineyards, and historic village centers invite visitors to linger. The area also offers cultural highlights, with its long winemaking tradition and the famous Heidi heritage (Maienfeld).
From Tschiertschen, the Bündner Herrschaft can be easily reached by car via Chur towards Sargans/Maienfeld. Alternatively, the region is also well connected by public transport: take a post bus or train to Chur first, then continue towards Maienfeld, Fläsch, or Jenins. This makes it easy to combine a visit to the wine region with a stay in the mountains.
