Ski area

Connoisseurs describe Tschiertschen as the most beautiful of the medium-sized ski areas in Graubünden. With good reason: 32 km of excellently prepared slopes of all levels of difficulty, 100% on natural snow, snow guaranteed, no waiting times at the modern 4-seater chair lifts and at the ski lifts, no flattened landscape, but wonderfully varied slopes also through forests and couloirs. 1000 meters of altitude difference downhill from Gürgaletsch to the valley station. A paradise for freeriders.

Snowsport school Tschiertschen

Whether children or adults, re-starters, beginners or advanced, for the snow sports school Tschiertschen has the right offer for you. At small groups or in private lessons, the techniques of skiing can be learned in and snowboarding. Lessons in German or in English. The Snow sports school Tschiertschen is quality certified.
The Hotel Alpina is located directly on the ski slope below the Alpina slope. The Ski school meeting point is directly behind the hotel, the valley station of the mountain railways will be available in one minute. Free ski bus from the car park at the village entrance to the valley station of the mountain railways.

Freeride Touren

Gürgaletsch – Joch – Praden - Tschiertschen

Freeriders choose the wonderful route through deep snowy slopes off the beaten track from Gürgaletsch over the Joch to Praden and then take the post bus back to Tschiertschen for free.


Skisafari Tschietschen – Churwalden/Parpan – Rothorn – Hörnli – Arosa - Tschiertschen

On the ski safari, off-piste skiers experience the unique Alpine panorama of this enchanting mountain region. It leads from Tschiertschen to Churwalden/Parpan, Rothorn and Hörnli further to Arosa and back to Tschiertschen. Special ski safari ticket available at the valley station of the mountain railways.

Tobogganing

The rapid toboggan run leads from Waldstafel - easily accessible with the chair lift - to the valley station. Toboggan hire for Fr. 7/day at the valley station. Try for a change the 1-bar sledge, the Gögel, a Tschiertschen speciality.

Winter hikes and snowshoeing

Tschiertschen offers many well prepared and signposted winter hiking trails, lead the pedestrians through beautiful natural landscapes: from Tschiertschen to the Fuchsenbödeli, from Tschiertschen via Furgglis to Waldstafel, from Waldstafel to the Hühnerköpfen, from the Hühnerköpfen via Jochalp to Parpan/Lenzerheide.
For snowshoe walkers there are wonderful routes, for example: Rot - Tschiertschen, Prader Alp, Furgglis, Tschiertschen. Blau - Tschiertschen, Fuchsenbödeli, Löser, Cherish. March time 2-3 hours each.

Ice skating & curling

The natural ice field directly behind the Hotel Alpina is ideal for skating, hockey games and curling. Illuminated in the evening.
